Welcome to Schram Vineyards – a family-owned, rustic-chic winery, event and hospitality destination located just 30 minutes west of Minneapolis in Waconia. Whether you're here for award-winning wine, craft beer, a relaxing lounge food and cocktails experience, or a special event, we’ve crafted spaces and experiences to make your visit memorable.
Please keep in mind our Ground Rules and Policies before visiting and thank you for understanding.
WHAT'S NEW
We’re excited to introduce our newly expanded areas:

A fresh, inviting new entrance that welcomes you into the world of Schram.

A fully redesigned tasting room, where you can sample our latest releases in comfort.

A stylish gift shop, featuring branded apparel, wine-themed gifts, pet items and home goods and a bottle shop so you can pick up your favorite bottle of wine!

The all-new Bonfire & Barrel Lounge & Restaurant, offering chef-driven comfort food, craft beer from Schram Haus, a cocktail bar and a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere.

The original building, now called The Vineyard Lodge, remains open, offering a cozy setting, lake & vineyard views, and a patio-style menu for casual ordering. The Vineyard Lodge will be open only during peek hours on weekends and for special events and live music.
Guests 21 and over, please be prepared with valid ID.
Please note that as of June 1st, 2025 Schram Vineyards has implemented a cashless payment system to enhance security and improve efficiency. We only accept credit card payments or Apple pay.
HOURS AND VISIT FLOW
Main spaces including the tasting room, gift shop and Bonfire & Barrel Lounge will be open during all regular winery hours.
Our website lists the full schedule so you can plan accordingly.
The Vineyard Lodge (the former tasting room) will continue to operate as usual with more limited hours primarily on higher-traffic weekends and during scheduled events or activities during the week. You can still order food from the Lodge’s patio-style menu during those times.
Please note: Reservations are not required for the Bonfire & Barrel Lounge at this time. We have designed multiple comfortable areas to wait, taste, shop and lounge while we welcome you in.

If you prefer the original building, the Vineyard Lodge is still available for casual bites, lingering over wine for a while, and visits with scenic views with more limited hours.

Inside and outdoor seating is available, including lake and vineyard vistas and bocce courts for extra fun.
TIPS FOR A GREAT VISIT

Since Bonfire & Barrel does not take reservations, plan some buffer time if you’re visiting at peak hours. Our additional spaces let you wait comfortably while you browse or sip. Have a tasting in the Tasting Room, visit the gift shop, etc.

If visiting during one of our event days or wanting a weekend with more activity, check our events calendar in advance.

Bring your friends and make a full afternoon or evening of it.

Dogs are allowed in our outdoor areas, but may be brought through the main entrance in order to access outside.

Turn your visit into an experience: tastings, a restaurant meal, a stroll by the vineyard, maybe a game of bocce along the way.

Large groups are encouraged to schedule one of our group experiences (Group Tasting, Host an Event, or Rent a Gazebo) or email to make arrangements.

Review our Guest Policies below before your visit. Policies are there for a reason and it makes for a more comfortable visit for all when there are no surprises.
LOCATION & PARKING
We’re located at 8785 Airport Rd. Waconia, MN 55387, approximately 30 minutes west of Minneapolis in Waconia.
Ample onsite parking is available. Look for signage at the new entrance to guide you in.
We have overflow lots on busy days!
BOCCE BALL
Our two bocce ball courts run alongside the vineyard and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Ask for a play set at the main tasting bar and leave an ID in exchange for a play set.
Bocce Courts may be reserved for $25 per court per hour if you have another private event rental space.
Intended for adult use only. No other games or toys are allowed on the courts.
We offer Bocce Ball Leagues end of spring through fall. Join our mailing list to be in the know for league openings and registrations.
SEATING
Schram Vineyards offers lots of seating indoors in our tasting room and outdoors under the covered pavilion, on our patios, and in the vineyard area. These areas are all walk-up bar service for wine, beer and our patio menu.
We do not take table reservations. Seating is first come, first serve for groups under 10. Reservations are only taken for one of our experiences. Groups should schedule one of our Group Visit options or email info@schramvineyards.com to inquire about visiting to determine the best option.
LIVE MUSIC
In addition to award-winning wines, Schram Vineyards is a go-to destination for live music in Waconia and the Twin Cities west metro. Our Friday night and Sunday afternoon music in the tasting room is free and no reservations required. Check out our live music schedule on our events calendar!

BUS, LIMO OR LARGE PARTY POLICIES
Schram Vineyards is committed to offering memorable experiences for all guests. In order to do so, we recommend large groups schedule one of our Group Visit experiences to ensure we can accommodate you and be prepared for your visit.
If a Group Visit is not scheduled, all bus, limo or large party visits must be approved prior to arrival and visits are dependent on space available and seasonality. Please email info@schramvineyards.com to make arrangements and please note the following:

Rowdy and disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.

Groups arriving already intoxicated will not be served. Please consider making us an early stop on your tour.

We have the right to turn away buses or larger groups that have not received permission prior to arrival or buses that arrive in a disrespectful manner. Please be mindful of other guests and neighbors when arriving and keep bus volumes at a respectful level.

No beverages from the bus may be taken off of the bus.
DOG POLICY
Socialized dogs are welcome on our outdoor grass and gravel areas. Dogs must be leashed at all times and picked up after. Dogs are not allowed indoors with the exception of service dogs. There is a friendly English Cream Golden Retriever named Woody who lives with the Schram family near the winery. He occasionally comes to say hello and loves to socialize!
CHILD POLICY
Guests under 21 and children are welcome to visit us with a parent or adult responsible for their safety and behavior. Please note the following expectations when visiting with kids:
We do not offer activities for children and for the safety of all guests, sporting equipment and flying balls are not allowed anywhere on property. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and should not be allowed to roam or run around our property unsupervised. The indoor Tasting Room is a relaxing space for guests to enjoy wine and beer experiences and is not a play area or children's area. The bocce ball courts should not be used as sand pits. Wine tasting experiences are 21+ only.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Schram Vineyards is a beautiful backdrop for any number of professional photos. Professional photography sessions require a permit and fee and are only allowed during certain times during the weekdays. We do not allow weekend professional photography. Please contact info@schramvieyards.com to arrange a photo session.
SMOKING AND CANNABIS POLICY
For the enjoyment of our guests and protection of our property, Schram Vineyards does not allow cigarette smoking or vaping. Because our business is centered around consumption of wine and beer, we are not allowing the consumption of any marijuana or THC-based products. Please note: We do occasionally host cigar nights. We will have a designated cigar smoking areas.
